On October 18th Jared and I had the pleasure of helping our friends Corie and Josh by "bartending" their reception. Ironically they had their reception at the same place we had our, so we experienced a little deja vu. It was fun to experience a wedding from behind the scenes. I know that it takes a lot of work to organize a wedding, but working one is stressful too. It definitely made me appreciate all those who volunteered at my wedding.
Since Jared and I don't drink alcohol and neither does Corie or her family we served soda and "mocktails" at the bar. {Mocktails are fake cocktails made with different types of juices and things}. This was the first time Jared and I had ever done something like this. With a little glimpse into the bartender life we now realize there is a lot of things to remember...mixes and such! To all you real bartenders out there...I don't know how you do it. We also put out a tip jar as a joke, but we really got tipped! We had a fun time! P.S. thanks to Wendi (Corie's sister and mastermind behind the reception) for the adorable monogrammed aprons!
