Two weekends ago Jared and I took our first plane ride to Kansas City, Missouri/Kansas to attend Jared's biological mothers wedding (Julia). It was a quick weekend trip, arriving Friday and leaving Sunday, but nonetheless we had so much fun! Friday was filled with pedicures, eye brow waxing, a tour of beautiful Kansas City, a yummy lunch at a cute little joint called The Cashew, lots of errands, rehearsal, and rehearsal dinner. Saturday was makeup, up-does, I do's, lots of pictures, and a reception full of laughter and tons of dancing. Sunday was sleep, resting, and flying home. As my first visit to Kansas I always thought it would be such a boring place, but besides the fact that it's too far away from any body of water...it is a pretty happening place and Jared and I hope to return soon. Jared looked so cute in his suit (being part of the wedding) and Julia and her now husband Dave couldn't have been more happy in love. I also want to include a plug to Julia's brother Bruce, his sweet wife Dawn, and daughter Sarah who couldn't be more sweet and generous! I loved that Jared's relationship with that side of his family is so comfortable and strong. How wonderful that a once past bad situation could turn out to be such a beautiful blessing to all involved. It was even fun to see the resemblance in Jared and his blood relatives! Thanks for such a fun time!
