Jared and I have started one of our first traditions. Five years ago we went to Centennial Park in Atlanta to watch the fireworks display. Since we didn't want to sit in the crowded, messy, loud Centennial Park we found a parking deck that was located across from the now Georgia Aquarium and drove to the top and had a perfect view on the fireworks display from there. Because we had such a good time we told another we would have to do that again. Well the next two years Jared spent his Independence Days in Arizona because of his mission, but his first 4th of July back went to repeat what we had done 3 years prior. Well in the two years Jared was gone, the old parking deck was torn down and turned into a hotel and the Georgia Aquarium was also built across the street. So in not wanting to compromise by sitting in the park we decided to drive to the top of the Georgia Aquarium parking deck and let me tell you....the view of the fireworks from there was SLAMMIN! So because we found this secret spot last year we decided to go back again this year. This year we got to Atlanta early, so we went shopping, and then made our way to the top of the aquarium, played cards, ate our picnic, and watched the fireworks. It was a lot of fun and we hope we can do it again next year to continue our tradition.
