NYC Day 2

My second and last day in New York was just as good as the first. We toured lower Manhattan including Ground Zero. We shopped in China Town, ate in Little Italy, saw Hairspray on Broadway, ate at a fancy restaurant, and then I spent the evening in the E.R. but we don't need to go there again. I flew home in the morning missing the real last day of the trip, but I had fun regardless.

Ground Zero...this looks a lot better than it did even 2 years ago.

VERY INTERESTING: The building on the far left with the scaffolding has been owned by the City of New York for over 7 years. During 9/11 the building was going through a court case to decide if they wanted to keep it or tare it down. They just decided a few months ago to take the building down. It taking the building down from the top to bottom they have been recovering remains from 9/11 because the building had not been touched. I assume it was from when people jumped off the towers or when body flew from the blast of them falling. Isn't that creepy?

The new Freedom Tower is going to be a little OVER double the size of the tallest building in the picture...HUGE! To see the new freedom towers click here

David and I eating in an authentic Italian restaurant in Little Italy

Broadway

I look a little sickly in this picture (wonder why?)

This was Link from the musical...you may recognize him...this is Ashely Parker Angel he used to be in the boy band O-Town that sang that song..."Because I want it all or nothing at all..." And he had a short show on M.T.V. Yeah he's a cutie!

This was Miss Hairspray herself Tracy Turnblad and it was actually her first night doing the part and she was amazing!

Dinner at the fancy restaurant, O'Casey's, it was yummy, but 1/2 hour later I was in the E.R.

David getting married to Caroline...this is a Show Choir trip tradition...someone proposes on the trip and then they get married at O'Casey's

Me in the Emergency Room...It sort of looks like I a HUGE jaw breaker candy got stuck in my cheek

You are such a trooper! I can't believe you actually participated in all those activities while your cheek was swollen! Looks like fun, except the ER part :)

That is so funny that you saw ashley in NYC because O-Town came to my middle school to perform back when I was like 13!
