Cake Class 4

Last week mom and I had our last cake class which turned out quite interesting...

Mom practicing her handwriting with icing

Ribbon Roses

This is my cake...
First....I didn't level the top layer of the cake so it split down the middle
Second...I confused tablespoons with teaspoons (for some crazy reason) so the icing fell of the cake

Needless to say I couldn't really decorate it the I had envisioned, so I just sliced it up and served it to all the other ladies in our class

My Mom's final cake
(We worked on this together and we both agreed that it was the ugliest one in the class....it's funny how two very creative people can't transfer that energy to cake decorating, oh well)

All the rest of these cakes are the other peoples from the class

Course Completed!
It was so much fun doing this class together...I think our next mom/daughter class is going to be jewelry making or art, we will have to see
TUNE IN LATER THIS WEEK: I was so bummed out about my cake being a flop that I made another one and decorated it the way I was originally had plan for the last day of class, so anticipate those pictures!

I found your blog:) Cake decorating sounds fun! I would be no good at it, but it sounds fun anyway... I love your wedding dress and hair by the way!

Oh Katy...your cake. *I* know you can do better. That's all that matters.

If/when you find a jewelry class, call me. I might be interested.
