Only In The South...

Later Saturday night Jared and I took our good friends, the Findlay's to a rodeo in town. The last time I went to a rodeo was in Whyoming when I visited my step-cousins. The last rodeo Jared went to was on his mission in New Mexico where he said a bull jumped over the arena fence and ran into the town. :/ This rodeo was small, but still good. One thing we were quickly reminded of is that we live in the south. Because we live in Athens, so close to The University of Georgia we are constantly surrounded by college life and we forget about the true south that surrounds us. At this rodeo we felt as though all the red necks came out. It was very interesting!

Showing our "country" side

Some of the cows that were in the rodeo, they were so cute

Yes this is a child with a severe mullet, we got a front and back shot. Too bad we didn't get a picture of his mother who had her new born baby bumping on her hip wearing a button up shirt that was tie up with her tummy hanging over.

The tribute to America was very touching

The rodeo clown

ummm, yeah the rodeo clowns had a sumo-wrestling match in the middle of the rodeo arena, I think that one explains itself

YAY the bull riding! Because the were so fast I couldn't get a good still shot, but in this picture the cowboy is flying off the bull. YIKES!

I am SO glad you posted a picture of that mullet! I heard that Jared was pretending to take a picture of Natalie just so he could get the mullet in the background. So funny!
