Helen Day 1

Since the beginning of November Jared's parents kept asking what we wanted for Christmas, but we couldn't ever think of anything...and then one day we had a BRILLIANT idea. We defiantly were in need of a little get-away... so we asked if they would plan one for us. We didn't want to go further then 2-3 hours and we were thinking somewhere in the Georgia mountains. So for Christmas the Reeves gave us a wonderful gift of a weekend mini-vacey in a cabin in Helen, Ga. We left Christmas night.

On the way up we past a few houses with some crazy lights, but this particular one was beyond crazy, it had music playing

(sorry for the blurriness, it was a drive by video shooting)

So when we arrived at our cabin that night we decided just to relax for the rest of the night and start our adventuring the next day....

Helen Day 1

This is one of Helen's landmarks.

Supposedly a Indian princess is buried here. The story is that her soul mate was of an opposing tribe and because they were forbidden to be together she committed suicide and was buried here.

{I love Romeo and Juliet stories}

Our first adventure was horse back riding at Sunburst Stables

This was the horse I was originally going to ride

Oh boy does my Jared look good in his riding helmet..mmm

Got our helmets on and ready to go

Jared and his horse

{Jared's horses name was Joe and of course his first comment was, "I never thought I'd ever get to "ride" Joe (meaning Joe McLain)"...such a guy thing to say!

Miniature Cows

My view from behind

My view from the front

{Just something cool on our trail}

This tree was uprooted, but because it grew on a large rock, the trees roots are completely flat

Me and my horse, Nemo

Jared and Joe

Joe again....he was our favorite

[Joe was the biggest horse they had and he was also the sweetest]

Nemo and I

After our long ride our next stop was FOOD

After asking around Helen what for the best restaurant literally everyone recommended Paul's Steakhouse

And now we're fans...we would recommend it to you too!

After we got back to the cabin we decided to take a dip in the jacuzzi

Yes the jacuzzi is outside and it's under 20 degrees...we're crazy!
