Torture Trail 10k

This past weekend our Relief Society took a trip to the Eatonton Dairy Festival, but before the festival a few of the Relief Society participated in the pre-festival 10k called the Torture Trail. This was my VERY first 10k...let me tell you that I am not in the proper shape to run one of these, but that was NOT going to stop me from jogging-power walking it! I was at first intimidated by the name, but I was none the less determined! My friend Ashley and I had a goal to finish in under 1 hour and 30 minutes and we smashed our goal by almost 10 minutes, so for us we felt very accomplished and it felt sooo good! Two of the more "professional" runners in our relief society actually won 1st and 3rd place in the age divisions, so it was a great day! After the race there was a parade and then the festival with ALL YOU CAN EAT MAYFIELD ICE CREAM...yeah I was in heaven!!

Hey Sweets, what an inspiration you are to me! Way to get out there and finish the race, but you never were a quiter anyway. You can do anything you set your mind too, and I mean anything! YOu will make a terrific teacher, even an administrator!

Great job on finishing the marathon! An hour and twenty minutes of jogging/walking sounds like torture!
